Jelenia Gora is an attractive place for lovers of tourism and active leisure. The town and its surroundings are excellent areas for hiking, winter sports, and biking. In just over 2 weeks Jelenia Gora will host UCI XCO and XCM racing on consecutive days.
Jelenia Gora Trophy UCI XCO race on Saturday 3rd June will award Hors Category ranking points, the highest outside of a World Cup event. On Sunday 4th June the Bike Marathon is part of both the Polish Series and UCI XCM Series. It’s a festival of cycling and some of the world’s best cyclists will be on the start line.
There are 3 routes on offer with the UCI race tackling 87 kilometres and 2600 metres of ascent. A real mountain bike course with lots of steep climbing and technical descents.
Jeleniogórska Valley is one of the most interesting and oldest cultural landscapes of Europe. In the picturesque villages scattered among the hills and ponds you encounter defensive churches, penitential crosses, old cottages Sudeten, medieval forts and palaces surrounded by romantic parks. Most hiking trails leads through areas of the Giant Mountains National Park, Rudawski Landscape Park Bóbr Valley Landscape Park.
