Bikepacking has started to become alluring to many endurance cyclists looking for a new challenge. And the Navad 1000 combines the need for ultra-distance, and the beauty of the Swiss Alps. Plus of course, the excellent route choices that Switzerland has.
The Navad 1000 starts in Romanshorn on Lake Constance on 17th June 2017, and takes riders on a 1000km route with over 31000m of climbing, all the way to the Freddy Mercury statue in Montreux.
As a bikepacking event, there is no support. No daily limits or cut offs – in fact you might try to do it fast and light, or it might become a “credit card touring” experience.
The route can be seen in full online – and it might still be modified.
