Let me introduce myself.
My name is Laura and I’ll be the girl on the ground at the Absa Cape Epic – quite literally. Two feet is by far a safer option for me than two wheels, but I can assure you I’m fully versed on the upcoming action! Mike and Will’s daily blogs should keep you up to date with life in the saddle, but I’ll be aiming to report on the day’s trials and tribulations at the pointy end of the race. Of course, I’ll be keeping an eye on our other fellow aussies too who include:

Naomi Hansen and Jodie Willet (Adidas)
Shaun Lewis and Peter Hatton (Rockstar Racing)
So stay tuned, as the excitement builds towards the Prologue. Cape Town has turned on a beautiful day and even the Baboons are out in force to catch a piece of the action. The riders will be aiming to get secure a good start for tomorrow’s Stage 1 proper, so this 27 km TT is by no means an easy introduction into the race.
