CycleNation have launched the Real Insurance XCM Series Rankings after round 2 of the Real Insurance XCM Series wrapped up on Sunday with Ben Mather winning the Dirt Works 100km NSW.
The win puts Tasmanian rider Mather in the overall lead for the Real Insurance XCM Series.
With 2 races counting to his ranking Mather has 5,419 series points while Peter Telford (4790 points) is in second place with Matthew Fleming (4732 points), Shaun Lewis (4498 points) and Ben Fillingham (4370 points) rounding out the top 5. Rider’s top 3 races from the series will contribute to their ranking with points calculated on overall position, category position and the strength of the field. With only a few hundred points separating the top contenders, they won’t want to miss the next event in the series, the Husky 100ker on June 19.
Vanina Vergoz will wear the purple women’s leader’s jersey at the Husky 100ker after winning the Dirt Works 100km on Sunday.
The Queen of the Mountain jersey will be worn by Jenny Fay after breaking her collar bone going into Sunday’s race and Dylan Cooper will wear the King of the Mountain jersey.
