Organisers of the 2011 Husky 100 have advised competitors that this year’s event has been postponed due to heavy rain that has inundated large parts of New South Wales. The race had been scheduled to take place this Sunday, June 19 around Huskisson on the south coast of NSW.
It is the second year in a row that Black Heart Events have been forced to move the event due to inclement weather. In 2010, the race was postponed from its February timeslot to June 20 after rain turned reduced much of the course to mud. This year the race was moved to a June date in order to avoid heavy summer rain, but unfortunately for competitors mother nature has forced organisers hand.
The event was also sheduled to be the third round of the inaugural Real Insurance XCM Series.
Black Heart Events are yet to announce a new date for the event.
