BlackHeart Events have confirmed that the 2011 Husky Enduro 100km Race will take place on Sunday August 7 after heavy rain forced the cancellation of the event which had originally been scheduled for this Sunday.
Riders with entries for this weekend will have their entries automatically transferred to the new date. In order to minimise inconvenience for competitors affected by the unavoidable but last-minute schedule change, BlackHeart Events have recommended riders interested in racing on the new date keep an eye on the Rotorburn forums for fellow riders looking to sell their entries.
The decision to reschedule the race for August means that the Real Insurance XCM Series powered by CycleNation will continue in line with its original line-up of races.
The Husky will be the third race in the series, which is currently being led by Vanina Vergoz in the women’s competition, and Ben Mather in the men’s. Full series rankings can be viewed on the CycleNation website.
BlackHeart Events, which has recently changed its name to iAdventure, is also responsible for organisation of the subsequent round in the series, the Bottlebutt 100 MTB Marathon in Port Macquarie on September 10, 2011. Entries for that event are open and can be accessed here.
