Sauser and Knox on a charge in South Africa

Christoph Sauser and Max Knox of 36One-Songho.Info repeated their victory of 24-hours earlier with yet another impressive stage win on day three of the DCM Cape Pioneer Trek.

The pair broke away from “all the usual suspects” to consolidate their comeback campaign on the overall classification – which was dented significantly by their comedy of misfortunes on day one of the race.

The duo finished in 4:12:24, a minute-and-a-half ahead of Ben-Melt Swanepoel and Nico Bell (Bell’s Cycling Specialized) and five minutes ahead of current overall leaders Kevin Evans and David George (Nedbank 360 Life).

Despite 36One-Songho.Info’s resurgence they look unlikely to topple Evans and George, who are looking strong with three days still to go.
