Radical Lights to help Australian endurance MTB talent shine

Three of the highest profile endurance cyclists in Australia, Jason McAvoy, Andrew Hall and Garry James, have come together under the Radical Lights banner to form Australia’s newest mountain bike endurance team.

Radical Lights, an Australian innovator producing some of the lightest and brightest racing lights on the market, announced the team of World and National category champions, endurance series and stage race champions in Canberra today.

Jason McAvoy has represented Australia at the World Solo 24 hr championships on three occasions, twice in Canada, and is currently category World Champion. In 2011 he was also in the GC winning pair for Terra Australis, and won his age category at both the National and Australian 24 hr solo champs.

Andrew Hall is an experienced elite level marathon and enduro racer. The 2011 season saw him on the podium in a range of endurance and ultra-endurance events. These included wins in 24hr pairs, Terra Australis stage race, 6 x 6, and 8hr races, and numerous other podiums in races covering 100km to 24hr solo. Andrew was also the overall series winner of the 2011 SRAM Singletrack Mind 8hr series.

Garry James is also a highly experienced endurance racer. Competing in the Master and Super Masters categories, Garry has won his category in the National 24hr Solo Champs for four years running and came second in his category in the 2010 World Solo 24hr champs. Even when competing in open categories, Garry is still a contender. He finished second overall in the 2011 Mountains to Beach stage race. Through 2011, Garry won his category in races from 75km up to 24hr solo.
