Early entries rewarded at Bikefest & Octoberfest

In just over three months the Ritchey Bristol Bikefest powered by Mercedes-Benz Vito Sport will get going at the renowned single track heaven of Ashton Court.

The entries have been flying in due to the generous offer of our early entry gift, which is still available to riders who sign on in the next month. Ritchey distributor Paligap has joined forces with the Bikefest team and we are offering every entry we receive before the 10th of April 2012 a 750ml Ritchey bottle with an Axiom bottle cage (worth £14). All products will be sent out after the deadline and will be sent to the team captain. Riders who have already entered will also benefit from this great offer. Find all the details on the homepage or the entry page.

But that is not all…we have done something similar for the NoTubes Oktoberfest. If you enter the Oktoberfest before the 15th June than you will be entitled to a NoTubes T-Shirt (worth £20).

So get your entries in now (click here to go straight to the entry page) so that you don’t miss out!

Ritchey Bristol Bikefest powered by Mercedes-Benz Vito Sport – 9th – 10th June 2012 – Ashton Court, Bristol

In 2012 the Ritchey Bristol Bikefest powered by Mercedes-Benz Vito Sport will return once more to the fantastic event location of Ashton Court, Bristol. But this year we got something new. Tested in the Oktoberfest and given some star ratings the Bikefest will also run on the new Ashton Court course in 2012. The infamous 12 hour team/solo endurance race will take place on Saturday the 9th June and will be followed the day after (10th June) by the 6 hour team/solo event and the 3 hour ‘novice’ event.

Both days are aimed at the experienced rider as well as the newcomer. On Saturday we will have solo, pairs and teams of 4 categories. The Sunday race will have the same categories. All team sizes can be entered in the team open, team ‘old gits’ (average age of riders needs to be 40+ years) or single speed category (please note – no single speed category on Sunday). There are obviously mixed teams and pairs in the running as well.  Besides that the 3 hour novice event will have teams of 2-4 and a solo category.

Besides the race action there wil be a great musical line-up, with live music on Saturday night and DJ running from early evening late into the night on Friday and Saturday. On top of that there will a bar on Friday and Saturday, the Bikefest food village and a colourful event village with a broad selection of the latest bikes and kit.

Stan’s NoTubes Oktoberfest powered by Mercedes-Benz Vito Sport – 13th October 2012 – Ashton Court, Bristol

Following the fantastic take-up earlier this year the Oktoberfest will return in full force in 2012 but now with a new supporter. Stan’s NoTubes is taken on the sponsorship for the Oktoberfest and will be on site over the event weekend showing their products as well as helping out with riders keen to jump onto the tubeless train.

The event will once more be based around the fantastic Ashton Court course and will feature the Bikefest typical relaxed atmosphere, smooth overall organisation plus a little bit of an ‘Bavarian’ twist’. We will again run the 8hr and two 4hr-riding races. But don’t worry – the 2012 Oktoberfest is not just a shorter re-run of the Bikefest – it will have a few surprises up its sleeve for you.

For example, we will have a ‘comfort station’ serving coffee, tea, biscuits, etc. on tab for the riders when they finish their lap as well as well a few more Bavarian undertones thrown into the mix.  So be prepared for swoopy single track, oompah music, pretzels as medals (or maybe not) and lots of Weissbier at the bar!
