The team behind the CRC MTB marathon series has just returned from the first ever Ritchey TrailMasters which took place in Llanwrtyd Wells recently. The event really gave the riders the chance to find out who the real ‘Trail Masters’ out there is. It was a challenging weekend for man and machine with rather persistent rain on Thursday and Friday but in typically British manner the riders and their support crew got the wellies and waterproof shorts out and just got on with it. For the race view from MarathonMTB.com rider Werner see his report here.
With the TrailMasters out of the way the organisers are back on the final round of the CRC MTB-Marathon powered by Mercedes-Benz Vito Sport in Ruthin on the 15-16th September.
First in the 13 years history of the MTB-Marathon series – the Ruthin round will be a triple event – with VITUS Road Sportives on Saturday, followed by the Exposure Lights Big Night Out Night Marathon on Saturday night and finished off with the 4 courses of the CRC MTB-Marathons on Sunday.
Exposure Lights Big Night out Night Marathon
The ELBNO tests the riders over a 40km long off road route which will pretty much ridden entirely in the dark. So strong legs but equally strong bike lights are a must. Exposure Lights will be on site with their latest light range but also with their charging station and hire lights. For further details on the ELBNO please check the Ruthin MTB event page.
CRC MTB-Marathons
For the last time in 2012 the 4 marathon courses of the CRC MTB-Marathon will bring the season to an end. Riders can find everything from a beginner and family orientated MINI marathon (29km long) all the way to the full distance marathon (80km) at the Ruthin round.
