Stan’s NoTubes Oktoberfest

The summer is officially over and the days are starting to get shorter again. Must be Oktoberfest time soon. In fact it is only another six weeks before the NoTubes Oktoberfest powered by Mercedes-Benz Vito Sport is coming to Bristol for the 3rd issue of the season finisher.

On Saturday the 13th October there be an 8 hour endurance event as well as two 4 hour events ready for riders and all this with the by now typical Bavarian Oktoberfest twist.

The 8 hour event as well as the AM 4 hour race will start at 9am and riders can take part in the ‘Festivities’ as solo riders, pairs or teams. The 2nd 4 hour event will kick off half way through (1pm) so that riders who ere keen to have a lie in will get their fix as well.

The NoTubes Oktoberfest will take place on the famous Ashton Court course which is packed with 1st class single track and hold up quite well in the wet. The lap is around 10km long and has around 150m of climbing in it.

Fancy racing with the ‘big boys’?

Following last year’s appearance at the Oktoberfest the Vito Sport Bike Riders United riders Steve Peat, Martyn Ashton and Blake Samson will be returning to Bristol for some more proper XC endurance racing. The guys will be around over the weekend chilling out in the arena but they will also try to lead their teams to victory. For that they are looking for some team members – so if you fancy racing the NoTubes Oktoberfest with Steve, Martyn or Blake then make sure you check the Vito Sport Facebook page for updates.

The solo category is filling up fast and will be closed on the 21st of September so better not delay if you want to be part of the Solo crowd at the NoTubes Oktoberfest. Fur all further details plus to check out the event video from the Ritchey Bikefest earlier this year hop onto www.bike-fest.com
