Ongoing inclement weather along Australia’s eastern seaboard has forced Shimano MTB Grand Prix organisers Rocky Trail to again postpone the start of the popular enduro series. The new date fo the opening round will be Easter Monday – April 1, 2013 – when the race will take place at Awaba.
The change is the second to the event, which had originally been scheduled to take place at Awaba before an initial postponement, which had seen it moved to this weekend at a different track. Although delayed the event will return to its original location.
Here’s a statement from Rocky Trail:
“We are very sorry to inform you so late, but we simply have no other option than to postpone the race again. Until yesterday the forecast for the Central Coast looked like rain on Friday and showers on Saturday, but has changed significantly overnight to rain through until Sunday.
***New date for Round 1 – Easter Monday, 1 April***
***Back at – Awaba MTB Park***
