The Ritchey Bristol Bikefest (8-9 June) is one of the most popular and longest-standing enduro MTB events in the UK, and with good reason. The course, round Ashton Court near Bristol, involves lots of enjoyable singletrack, and there’s a good relaxed atmosphere in the race village. As always with these events, the riders and riding range from very serious to not so much, making for plenty of options for everyone to ride in just the way they want.
There are a number of formats, from solos to teams, and six hours to twelve hours.

What is going on over the weekend?
In 2013 the Ritchey Bristol Bikefest powered by Mercedes-Benz Vito Sport have secured the usage of the fantastic event location of Ashton Court, Bristol. But this year we got something new. From this year onwards the Bikefests (as well as the Oktoberfest) will be located just hundred yards to the South West on the grounds of the Bristol Cathedral Choir School. The new venue is on the edge of the existing course and offers fantastic changing, shower and toilet facilities, ample space for event venue and competitors and all without saying goodbye to our much loved Ashton Court course!
Both days are aimed at the experienced rider as well as the newcomer. We will have solo, pairs and teams of 4 categories on both days. All team sizes can be entered in the team open, team ‘old gits’ (average age of riders needs to be 40+ years) or single speed category (please note – no single speed category on Sunday). There are obviously mixed teams and pairs in the running as well. Exception to this rule is the 3 hour novice event will have teams of 2-4 and a solo category.
The Bikefest Course
Now going into its 2nd year of use the much loved Ashton Court course is getting better and better. Properly bedded in now in combines fast and flowy single track sections with all weather capability. So if you like your single track, mixed in with open climbs and the perfect mix between gaining height and getting the maximum ‘pay back’ for it than this is for you!
