Inside the Beskidy MTB Trophy

One of the famous Beskidy climbs - Sportograf

Where there are mountains, there are mountain bikes, and therefore mountain bike races. Ok that’s not strictly true. But add a reasonably prosperous economy to it, and leisure time and you’re closer to the mark. The Beskidy MTB Trophy is a hard, four day MTB Stage Race in southern Poland, near the ski town of Wisla. You race a lot, you climb a lot – and then some more. You go through landscapes you might not have known existed in Poland. You eat a lot of wafer biscuits. You have pizza with broccoli on it. The Beskidy MTB Trophy is a race that needs to be experienced – for the depth of field, and variety of racing across the four days, out of the one town.

This video has some great point of view footage from the 2014 event. Sure, it could use a tighter edit, but you want to ride those trails, right?
