The days are closing in for your final Camelbak Highland Fling entries. One of the biggest marathon mountain bike races in the country will be held on the weekend of 8-9 November, 2014. More than that, the Fling will be celebrating its 10th anniversary.
Racers will be threading through the farmland of the beautiful Southern Highlands of NSW, and the singletrack of Wingello State Forest, including the new machine built sections that were opened this winter.
More than just ‘one race for all’ the Fling has a half distance race, Full Fling (112km), 100 mile Fling, and the Flinging Threesome – a relay event on the full course. There’s also a 14km option and of course the Bundanoon Dash on Saturday afternoon. It’s a full weekend of mountain bike fun.
Held out of Bundanoon, the race is the marquee event, but the town itself plays a big role. Bundanoon is a family and bike friendly town, with great places to eat, and some lovely places to stay in the surrounding townships. There’s plenty of camping at the event centre too.
