On 19th of July, The Craft BIKE Transalp will start in Ruhpolding with KMC-Mitsubishi-Koga duo Bram Rood and Robby de Bock. The Transalp is a seven days stage race starting in Germany leading via Austria to the finish in Italy in Riva del Garda. Previously 8 days and on somewhat less technical terrain, the routes have been modified and it is truly becoming a mountain bike adventure through the Alps.
For Rood it is his fifth participation in this tough mountain bike stage race and with teammate Ramses Bekkenk he finished several times in the top ten. Last year he rode with Stefan Vreugdenhil and they came thirteenteenth. Belgium rider de Bock will make his debut in this year’s Transalp and is looking forward to this challenge through the Alps.
