Andalucia Bike Race rego open – and Masters Women have a category.

In Spain, the stage racing season starts early. The Andalucia Bike Race has quickly become more than an early season form finder. It’s high paced, high stakes racing for many of the world’s elite marathon, cross-country and stage racers.

The sixth edition of Andalucía Bike Race has opened for registration until the 31st of January 2016, so you can be one of the 800 participants (400 pairs) of this awesome international competition.

While registering you can also choose a variety of add-ons, depending what you need. There’s even a Premium Pack, for which you’ll be treated as a professional athlete and will also get exclusive gifts. This services is limited to thirty teams/pairs.

Big news for 2016 is the introduction of the Women’s Master category. This category has been set for women over 30 years of age and with a Master license, in order to promote and equalise women’s participation.

There’s also a new race location in Córdoba. The race centre will be at the Hacienda la Albaida, outside the city and next to the best singletrack in the area.

Next year, the race will also feature full podiums. The first three teams (pairs) of each category and their corresponding leaders, will have a daily podium ceremony. A novelty that emerged during the past edition by request of the Elite teams which now will apply to all categories.

Also, understanding that now everyone can survive a stage race, the event recognises individual finishers. Until now, Finishers were only considered those who completed the race with their partners. From now on, all participants who manage to complete the race individually and according to its regulations, will also be considered Finishers but will not be accounted in the classification.

The full route is yet to be announced, but the race logistics and services remain.
