One of the most exciting mountain bike stage races to launch recently has been the Snowies MTB Festival. Running over 3 days in the New South Wales Snowy Mountains, the event doesn’t travel ultra distances, or demand lots of time off work. But what it does offer is 5 stages of racing over 3 days, all based out of Lake Crackenback resort.
The NSW Snowy Mountains are experiencing lots of mountain bike trail development, and on top of the 25km of purpose built trail at Lake Crackenback, the race also makes extensive use of the Thredbo Valley Trail, and the new trails within the Thredbo ski area too. There’s a mix of new singletrack and established trails, and there’s a good chance you might not have ridden or raced on some of the trails before.
While entry has been open for a few months, along with race promoters In2Adventure we are giving you a chance to win an event entry – for FREE. Well almost. All you need to do is get a great photo of you or your mate out riding this summer, and post it to Instagram, with the hashtags #marathonmtb and #snowiesMTBFestival. The photographer who has the most likes for their photo via Instagram by midnight 31st January will be the winner.
