The world of marathon mountain biking and stage racing is ever expanding, and the beauty of the sport is the opportunity for travel and exploration – alongside some competitive racing. Stage races are perhaps the best chance for this, with multiple days allowing a more complete look at the area the race is in, and more time to meet new like-minded people.
There is no doubt that 4 Islands MTB stage race in Croatia has profiled itself into an attractive and desirable stage race – with 400 riders from 5 continents now registered to participate in the 2nd edition of the race that will take place in April this year.
The race has been sold out 2 months in advance doubling the number of participants compared to the 1st edition in 2015. 4 Islands will proudly host riders from around the globe, from Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria and Germany to Netherlands, USA, South Africa, Canada, Mexico.
All of them will have an opportunity to experience a powerful mix o breathtaking trails, pain and pleasure, partners and rivals and the race where all those who reach the finish line are winners.
Bike 4 Islands 2015 Highlights
Tomislav Zobec, Race Director, says:
“We are very proud that after just one year, our race has been recognised among passionate riders. We work hard to exploit the landscape we are living in and to put our race on the world’s map of races. Selling the race 2 months in advance is very successful and motivating for us – our race is still a newborn and we want it to be next to the biggest in the world. We found exceptionally positive that our riders are a mixture of passionate amateurs and professional/ex professional riders from different countries that makes our event cosmopolitan and diverse. All our colleagues involved in the event are confident and keen on providing a top level service to our guests, and we are sure in a very positive feedback“.
