With spring almost over, and sumemr knocking on the door, a lot of Australian Marathon racers are either turning to the National Cross Country Series (starting this weekend in Perth) or just going to ground to get some rest or base kilometres in for 2012. Some people will have hung it up after the Highland Fling. Others may choose thisĀ weekends Bottlebutt 100. But the smart and social racer will head to the fantastic lap based Enduro at Awaba on November 27th. This is the final round of the SRAM Singletrack Mind Series run by Chocolate Foot.
Lap based Enduro’s are the bread and butter of many cross country racers, Maraton racers and general mountain bikers. There is something for everyone. The Awaba trails are well known for their flow (and a big climb), and with a National Cross Country round to be held there in early 2012, and free beer after the event, the crowd should be diverse.
Being the last round, plenty of teams who have attended many of the races this year will be keen to maintain or improve their overall standing. Others will be there for a one off result, many will be there for the trails and good vibes.
Lots of people are already entered, so don’t miss a spot. You can enter online at anytime of the day to make sure you can race on some of the best trails that you will race on this year.
