Registration for the second two-day, 4-stage mountain bike challenge in Lough Derg, Ireland have opened, with organisers hoping to build on a successful start to the event in 2011.
The event will take place on the weekend of the April 21-22, 2012, with four different stage courses on offer. Last year, 100 riders took on the challenge, with organisers hopeful the event will gather even greater momentum in its second edition.
In a positive sign for mountain biking in Ireland, a number of land owners have given permission to use their property for the event in and around The East Clare Way and Lough Derg Ways.
Entry for the event is 90 Euros and includes the 4-stage race, 2 lunches, event t-shirt, goodie bag, and fruit and water.
The first 100 entries for the 2012 edition of the race will also go into a draw to win a single speed bike worth over 600 Euro.
