OSTC 2012 – St3 – Lincoln and Swanepoel seal victory

Finish a bike race on the beach? Don't mind if I do.

Today’s is mainly a photo report, to show the variety of landscapes through which the Omnicane Southern Tropical Challenge has raced over the final couple of days.

In today’s stage, the GreenField Team of Yannick Lincoln and Ben Melt Swanepoel sealed victory in the general classification. The race finished on the beach at Pointe Desny, having descended from Bois Cheri to the coast and then taken an attractively but navigationally challenging winding route along beaches and cliffs, occasionally doing loops slightly inland.

A great place to end the race, after a lot of hard work from all involved in organising it.

About Will Hayter

Will is happy riding or racing any kind of bike, but is best pleased when going off-road over long distances, preferably in the mountains. Sadly little of this happens near his home town of London, so he is often to be found roaming around Europe in search of trails and races. Say hello to Will on Twitter
