One of the UK’s best enduro events takes place this weekend, and there’s still time to enter!
The Ritchey Bikefest powered by Mercedes Benz Vito Sport is a great race round the singletrack-heavy course at Ashton Court near Bristol. And now that it’s only a few days away, it seems apparent that the event is likely benefit from the first bit of proper warm weather the UK has seen in 2013. So what are you waiting for?

It is only a few days now before the Ritchey Bikefest powered by Mercedes-Benz Vito Sport gets going and things are starting to hot up. So here the latest update for our fest on the 8-9th June in Ashton Court, Bristol.
What is going on over the weekend?
In 2013 the Ritchey Bristol Bikefest powered by Mercedes-Benz Vito Sport will return once more to the fantastic event location of Ashton Court, Bristol. The Bikefest course is in great condition (dusty – all the way around) with more overtaking spots and different lines to choose from than ever before. With the weather forecast looking super promising we are looking forward to a great weekend of sunshine, close racing, chilling out around the venue and a couple of cold drinks from the Bikefest bar. Racing wise we have the infamous 12 hour team/solo endurance race taking place on Saturday the 8th June followed the day after (9th June) by the 6 hour team/solo event and the 3 hour ‘novice’ event.
Entries to the Ritchey Bristol Bikefest 2013 – 12hour event will be closing Thursday
The entries have been flying in over the last couple of weeks so that we will be closing the entry on Thursday (7th June 2013) at midnight. There will be day entries available for all Sunday races and for teams of 4 for Saturday but there is a £5 surcharge for entering at the event. Make sure to get your entry is now to avoid paying the extra £5 and to secure your event T-shirt. To enter go onto our entry page to get all the details of how to enter the events.
The new venue
For this year we are using a new venue for the camping, parking and event village. Riders come into the venue the same was as they have for the last eleven years and then simply follow the markers. You will not able to miss us. For directions please click here.
For the 1st time we will have showers and great changing facilities on site. So no need to cross the road to get cleaned up or to change in the back of the car.
Signing On Times, race start times and bar opening times
Race registration will open at 5pm on Friday till 8pm, then Sat from 7:00am till 8:30am. For Sunday you can register from 7:30am till 9:30am on Sunday morning or during Saturday afternoon if you are around. The Saturday 12 hour race starts at 9:00am sharp and the Sunday 6 / 3 hour event starts at 10:00am sharp. The bar will open at 5pm on Friday and from lunchtime on Saturday and Sunday.
Kids race on Saturday
There will be the Mini Bikefest kids race held on the Saturday starting at 1:00pm. Classes are under seven and over seven. Parents can enter their children on the day before 12:30pm by coming to registration in the main marquee and registering on the line. Entry will be free of charge.
Music, drinks and food on site
The Bikefest weekends are not just about riding your bike fast…there is so much more to it. To make the weekend complete we will have our Bikefest DJ playing some tunes on Friday and Saturday. The Bikefest bar will be open on Friday afternoon/evening as well as on Saturday and Sunday. And to get the legs warmed up we will the crew from South West Sprint (roller racing) with us who will run some great sprint competitions in the event marquee were you can win some lovely beers from our Bristol Beer factory bar. So make sure you get there on Friday! Entry is FOC. In in his Drop-Off bus will be serving food starting on Friday evening all the way through the weekend.
Bikefest jersey
We have teamed up with Scimitar this year to offer everyone the first ever Bikefest jersey. We have managed to secure the jerseys to be available to order till the event date.
So if you are interested in getting your hands on one or a few of these great jerseys then make sure you purchase it together with your online entry. Available sizes are S – XL and the price per jersey is £34.99. Jerseys can be picked up at the event registration.
