The 10th edition of Haanja100MTB, the toughest MTB-race in Estonia, will this year take part on September 28th in South-West of Estonia, on the Haanja upland. The main race is 100km and consists of 1500m of vertical ascent. There is also an ‘Imperial’ race. This additional race of 100miles consists 2300m of vertical ascent.

You know you are far north when the MTB races use XC skiing infrastructure.
Already 450 participants are on the start-list, including UCI World Marathon Champion Christoph Sauser (Specialized Factory Racing) from Switzerland and his good mate Silvio Bundi (they won together the Cape Epic in 2006). Estonian rising XC-rider Martin Loo (also 2011 and 2012 Haanja100 winner) is back to defend his title in 2013. As the participation limit is 550 (500 on to the 100km and 50 on to the 100miles), only 100 free slots have been left almost 50 days before the race.

Celebrate!
