The third day of the Subaru MTBA National Champs had some of the best racing, with U19, U23 and Elite men’s and women’s titles all being decided. The racing was highly competitive throughout the day. Bec Henderson took her second elite national XCO title ahead of Peta Mullens, and Em Parkes won the U23 race in front of last year’s victor Holly Harris. Megan Williams kept her U19 title.
Dan McConnell rode a commanding race with Brendan Johnston, but McConnell broke away on the last lap to take the jersey, and Paul van der Ploeg crossed in third. Scott Bowden won the U23 race with close to a 3 minute lead over Chris Hamilton and Subaru-MarathonMTB racer Sebastian Jayne. Liam Jeffries took home the U19 title.
