After an extended break the UCI MTB World Cup kicks off again this weekend in the Czech Republic. The Nove Mesto course is a favorite among riders being voted best XCO/XCE event in both 2013 and 2014. Packed into a densely wooded forest next to a Biathlon stadium, the course features roots. Just lots of roots, everywhere, then some rocks put on top. Somehow a load of roots and some rocks makes one of the best race courses on the calendar. Even in the slippery conditions the course is still a heap of fun to ride.
Racing kicks of today with Em Parkes and Holly Harris in the U23 women. You can keep up to date with Holly and Em’s racing via their Facebook page. Scott Bowden and Jack Lavis are racing along with myself in the U23 men on Sunday morning and in the Women’s Elite we have Bec Henderson and Peta Mullens.
Redbull.tv will have live coverage of the Elite Women along with Dan McConnell and Cam Ivory in the Elite Men on Sunday afternoon. For now check out some of the pre event videos below!
