After last years successful trip to the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena I thought I would base my first European training camp for this year around the area again. With a large variety of climbs and roads to choose from and ideal weather it was the best choice. I was looking forward to getting some quality training in after a busy start to my European season. Some big endurance rides and climbing efforts were on the cards along with some gym sessions in nearby Imst. Below are a few photos showing how the week progressed. Enjoy!

Looking out across the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena.

A big day in the mountains started with a quick stretch under the Zugspitze.

It was tough sticking to a gym schedule with these incredible views on display. Injoy gym in nearby Imst had everything I could need from Squat racks to balance and pilates equipment.

Cresting the Trans German Hell Climb, 3.2km at 13%. Safe to say if this photo hadn’t been taken I would not have seen the view!

An electric hire bike can be a novel yet effective way of moto pacing off road. Unless you go on a 4 hour loop with a 2hr battery life!

Not a bad place for a training camp.
