Of all the mountain bike stage races, the Bike TransalpĀ is perhaps the most complete journey. It’s a classic point to point stage race from southern Germany through to Riva del Garda.
The route has changed its shape, as has the length of the race. Now a 7 day format, with an increasingly technical route, the Transalp still offers a stunning journey through different regions, with changing cultures.
For the professionals, it’s an epic battle over the course of a week. For amateurs, it can be a chance to test their mettle in the big mountain passes, or a high-paced tour over about 19000m and 600km.
