Cicli Olympia announce 2016 teams and changes

In 2016 Cicli Olympia will be present on International circuits, both XC and Marathon, with three excellent teams: the new-born Cicli Olympia Polimedical Team, the renewal G.S. Forestale Olympia Vittoria and the reconfirmed Olympia Factory Cycling Spanish Team. Their targets? The World Championship and the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.

The most exciting news comes from the newly-formed XC and Marathon élite team, which is getting ready to front the challenges of the 2016 World Championship and the next Olympic Games. Cicli Olympia signed a partnership agreement with Polimedical, a group of health centres based in Missaglia (LC), in Italy, getting started to the Cicli Olympia Polimedical team. This team boasts four big athletes: Marzio Deho, Andrea dei Tos, the young Sardinian Pietro Sarai and the Danish Alexander Laugesen. The team’s main aim is the 2016 Marathon Worlds Championship and the participation at the most important national and international UCI races.

At the beginning of 2016 it is expected that they will announce the addition of another well-known athlete.
The team will have a variety of bikes to use depending on the terrain: the BULLET 29” and the IRON 29” with Fox fork and suspension. The partnership with Selle Italia continues as well as the one with Vittoria which provides them with the new Graphene tyres.

Reconfirmed for year 2016 the partnership between Gruppo Forestale dello Stato and the Vittoria company. In 2016 the G.S. Forestale Cicli Olympia Vittoria will be composed of the twins Luca and Daniele Braidot, Nicholas Pettinà and Mirko Tabacchi. The team will run the main races of the XC World Cup, the Internazionali d’Italia and it will aim to bring one of its athletes to the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

The team athletes are equipped with the Olympia 849 bike to train on the road, a BULLET 29” and an IRON 29” on the basis of the type of race and route. The tyres and the wheels are from Vittoria, the fork and the suspension are from Fox.

In Spain, it is confirmed the Olympia Factory Cycling team for 2016 with the insertion of a new strong athlete: Francesc Guerra, who is the current Spain XCM Vice-Champion. Here again, the main aim is to get good results to participate to the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. Olympia provides them with an Olympia 849 bike, for training on the road, and a choice between IRON 29” or BULLET 29” for the XC and Marathon events.

These three big teams are joined with other smaller teams for the road Gran Fondo and mountain bike amateur events. They run with Olympia bikes and jerseys and they represent the brand on the Italian circuits.
