The Protective Bike Four Peaks has turned into a mini-Transalp, selecting some of the best locations for trails and racing in the Alps. In 2016, the race is likely to get easier for supporters and race organisers alike. After this year’s trip to Carinthia the race will return to Salzburg and Tyrol in 2016 again. However, unlike the three editions before, next year’s event from June 15th till 18th, 2016, will be staged in only two stage towns. In the mountain bike areas of Saalfelden/Leogang and Kirchberg in Tirol, both part of the 2014 routing already, two stages each are on the programme.
Besides an action-packed mountain bike experience in two well-known MTB resorts combined with the loss of so-called asphalt-heavy transfer stages the new two-stop-concept also stands up otherwise.
“All participants will have an eased up travel situation. There is no luggage stress anymore. Both regions are only separated by a one-hour drive. You can travel as you want, and you don’t have to wait for your spare clothes if you are in your hotel at an early stage,” explains Race Director Marc Schneider.
Paired with a promising routing this is one of the main arguments to register for the Four Peaks end of November.
