The BIKE Transalp is a stage race like no other. With 7 days of riding point to point across the Alps. The sense of a journey can be missing from modern stage races, where riders are settled into cost-effective towns for more than a night, and toured through manicured bike parks.
But Transalp is one of the original stage races, and while it’s dropped from 8 days down to 7, there is no denying the beauty of the alpine setting, the variety of terrain that needs to be ridden up, over and down, and the cultural immersion that is possible for riders visiting from outside Europe. Every day starts and finishes in an alpine town. Feast on local delicacies, find your team mate and grab a drink while watching the Tour at the local bar.
Transalp is about more than just the surface you ride on, it’s about crossing the Alps by bike, and seeing the communities that make up this beautiful region of the world.
