The 20th edition of the legendary Malevil Cup will take place on 8th June 2019. With routes going through the forests of the Lusatian and Zittau Mountains the race will host mountain bikers from all over the world. It is not just European countries but riders from Japan are also registered.
There are more than 1000 riders entered and they will face demanding
but fair routes of 100, 65, 45 and 25km going through the localities in Czech Republic and Germany. The Elite starting list is full of many famous names and promises interesting face-offs. With no doubts Sören Nissen, hopes to dominate at Malevil Cup as well as he recently did in the prestigious marathon in Willigen and in UCI MTB marathon series in Jelenia Gora.
Kristian Hynek, a previous winner of the Cape Epic and the reigning Czech Champion in MTB Marathon and Martin Stošek from Vitalo Future Cycling ,
winner of UCI MTB marathon series in Elba could not miss the race either. Jan Škarnitzl has a great motivation to win after finishing twice at the second position. The complete Czech, German and Polish marathon elite will join as well – currently 75 elite men are registered!
Among women you can look forward to the current leader of UCI MTB marathon series ranking, Slovenian Blaza Pintaric, who is racing again after a doping suspension. A huge competition to her will be Swiss champion
