The 20th edition of the legendary Malevil Cup – UCI MTB marathon series will take place on 8 June 2019. Routes going through the forests of the Lusatian and Zittau Mountains will host mountain bikers from all over the world. At this moment bikers from many European countries but also from United Arab Emirates are registered.
Many big names are already confirmed. One of the biggest stars is Maja Włoszczowska from Kross racing team, winner of two Olympic medals. The reigning Polish National Champion will be joined by her teammate Ondřej Cink, competing in the Malevil Cup for the first time in his career. Kristian Hynek, the winner of the Cape Epic and the reigning Czech Champion in MTB Marathon could not miss the race either. The complete Czech and German marathon elite will join as well.
There is a change on the 100km route with the addition of 8 kilometres through the German part of the mountains as Malevil Cup is very popular in Germany. “Thanks to that you will have the chance to experience the beautiful and challenging bike trails of the Zittau mountains,” says Radek Patrák, the head of the organising team.
The Saturday program begins with the start of the marathon race at 8:30. Truly everyone can choose from the many categories and distances of 100, 65, 45 and 25 kilometres. The Malevil Cup is really for everyone. You can join also the ride outside of competition, family bike trip or evening Bike-party.
